God bless the Philippines.

2 years ago, the Philippines has experience typhoon Ondoy and I myself got to witness it and I remember clearly, when typhoon Ondoy left, it left the Philippines over millions worth of damage. I also remember having one whole week of holiday was declared in order to bring back the Philippines in good condition. And though the typhoon did damage only for a day, I say that the Philippines was as good as new with everyones help and prayers.

And just the past days, Philippines faced another furious typhoon named Pedring. I may not be in Manila right now, I was one in praying for the Philippines and praying for everyones safety and thank God it is all over now! But ofcourse, we can still lend each other a helping hand by donating cash or relief goods to the Philippine Red Cross..

For CASH and/or CHECK donations;

Account Name: Philippine Red Cross
Bank Name: Banco De Oro
Peso Account: 453-0018647
Type of Account: Savings

For SMS donations;
Text REDAMOUNT to 2899 (Globe) or 4143 (Smart)

G-Cash Donations
Text DONATEAMOUNT4-digit M-PINREDCROSS to 2882
You can send the following denominations:
Globe: 5, 25, 100, 300, 500 or 1000; Smart: 10, 25, 50, 100, 300, 500 or 1000

Just like my experience in Ondoy, since what happened breaks my heart.. I donated 2K worth of relief goods to the victims. Well if I were working now, I would've donated but I really feel so bad for being broke and couldn't give a thing but of course, prayers are strong and that I offer.

But anyway, I heard that there's another typhoon coming to the Philippines. May I just say that with all our prayers, it won't be as harsh and violent as Ondoy or Pedring. Prayers guys, very powerful indeed.

Once again, #GodBlessthePhilippines

The very first Fashion Show that I have attended here in Dubai :) And I would like to thank ate Mariyah of www.mahryska.com for the passes!!

Well, to give you guys an introduction.. Splash Fashions was founded 1993 and is Middle East’s largest fashion retailer of Apparels & Accessories for both Men & Women. An 'Eye' for the latest global trends in fashion design offered at fabulous value is the soul of SPLASH which has rapidly evolved from a retail trader to the region's hottest selling high street fashion brand. It currently has over 120 stores in 10 countries that include UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Jordan, India, Egypt and Lebanon, covering a total retail floor space of well over 1.3 million sq. ft.

SPLASH showcases a trendy mix of international as well as in-house Brands. Aimed primarily at fashion forward 15-35 year olds, SPLASH introduces over 30,000 designs onto the shop floor ever year.

Headquartered in Dubai, SPLASH is part of the Landmark Group of Companies- the largest retail conglomerate in the region.

For more information, visit www.splashfashions.com

Anyway, Splash is one of our - my mom and sister - favourite retail here in Dubai. They have the trendiest and most affordable apparels and accessories that it is a must to visit whenever the family heads off to the mall. That's why I was really happy when I got to get a peak of their Autumn/Winter Collection. Definitely, I will visit to shop for more winter clothing!

This is what I wore to the Fashion Show. To know more about it, I blogged about it here.

And as I've mentioned, I got two passes for the Fashion Show and Barbie - what Janine and I call each other - was my date for that night. Ate Chelli and Kuya Waleed - her love - was also with us the entire night! :)

Some of Dubai's bloggers present that night!! With ate Chelli of www.chellibeans.com, Janine of http://janineske.blogspot.com/ and ate Mariyah of www.mahryska.com ♥ ♥

After the Fashion Show, we all went our different paths and were able to rock our outfits the rest of the night!! :)

Rockin' the night away

Last night I attended the Splash Rock'N Fashion Show that showcased their Autumn/Winter Collection for 2011. But of course, more on that in my next blog post. For now, I wanna share what I wore to the Fashion Show.

Since the theme was Rock'N Fashion, we all had to dress like Rockstars! Honestly, I had the hardest time figuring out what to wear for it since I'm more of the glamorous chic/girly girl type of style. And yes, this look was the best that I could come up with for the fashion show! I just had to bring all the rocker in me with my make up and hair.

24 September 2011

Now a blondie!

Bleached my hair the 2nd time around but only the darker part of course. And this is the result! :) My first ever bleached hair was that my sister did it, but the second time around, I had the courage to do it myself though I wasn't really sure of the outcome and more of risking my hair to it. But anyway, people actually like the result! Then again, what do you think? :D

18 September 2011

The OMBRE Hair

I've always wanted my hair dyed with the my hair's color is really shown, not only when there's light or sun. I want it obviously showing. So anyway, when Josel was here, we had our hair bleached here sa house and the outcome of my hair.. :D

Oh, this is my ombre hair when curled! What do you think?

Ola amigos!

I've been saving this dress to wear if ever we head to the beach, but since it seems that it's really impossible still coz of the intolerable heat that literally burns the skin, I just wore it when we went out last night.

I got the dress as a gift from my lola :)

Aldo suede fringe heels.

Forever 21 watch and hair clip.

This was actually the first time that I wore this dress and oh how I love it now! And how I love the outcome of the look when I partnered it with my Aldo suede fringe heels which I used just so I could enter theshadesandscarf blog competition :)

Sweet Pleats

It was my sister's last night in Dubai since her flight is the next day already. She just did her last major shopping in Dubai and as she said, she's back to online shopping and bazaars since she spends her allowance on it.

I may have not mentioned before but my sister is just as much as maarte as I am, but I'm more of the girly type. She's more of the laid back and just go with the flow type. But anyway, we decided to both wear pleats that night :)

My whole outfit was totally random. The skirt is more of the must since I wanted to wear it and the only pleated bottoms that I have. I just had to partner it with a simple yet with color top, and put on my favourite mustard belt and black shoes and voila :)

Top and accessories from Forever 21, Skirt from Bazaar, Mango bag, Topshop belt and Rusty Lopez black wedges.

Well if you like my outfit, you can definitely HYPE it now on Lookbook ♥

Black + Red = Never Fails

Last Tuesday, my parents and I went out to dinner in Deira City Center and window shopped a little while we wait for Josel to finish bonding with her friends. Since the new place we live in now is really far from the "city", it is now somewhat a must to wait and/or pick up whoever is out at night. Haha.

Well, this is what confidently wore that night. I had my hair bleached that same afternoon (will do a seperate blog post about that) and so I just went with black to match the new hair dye.

I have many shots of this outfit taken but it's in my sister's camera and I only got to grab a copy of two different shots :| But anyway, let me share my new Facebook profile picture that shows my new hair dye..

If you do like my outfit, HYPE it now on Lookbook - Black + Red
