The natural look.

I have been using my graduation picture in my resume for the past months of applying in companies both in Manila and here in Dubai. But ever since I had my interview with Deloitte M.E., the interviewer, a Pinoy was so nice enough to give me tips on my next interviews and told me about the need for a more corporate passport size resume picture.

I got ready for this even so if only my dad would be taking the photo because all my passport pictures were a massive fail. You know how most photographers would only take like 2 shots and then it still is a problem because you actually sucked in both and you can't really request to take more shots for more choices.. so yeah. I wanted this one to be ideally pretty.

And so I took in all the trouble doing my make up and fixing my hair for this passport picture. Of course I didn't need to dress up because all I need was a blazer to look corporate enough because what's important is the face and the limit of the picture would be until the neck only.

So this is the outcome of my effort (hair and make up):

Well, cosmetics used would be:

1) Johnsons & Johnson Pressed Powder;

2) Nichido Concealer;

3) The eyeshadow, eyebrows, blush on all came from my Mikyajy Palette;

4) Maybelline mascara and eyeliner;

5) Revlon natural shade lipstick

And now for a closer look.. I really love the outcome of my eyes!! So pretty.. And until now I haven't wore them off coz I'm just so proud of myself. I see myself as a potential professional MUA! Might as well practice more make up and I might just start on doing make up tutorials here on my blog!! And if I get requests of course, the more interested I am to do tutorials :)

I'm also an expert when it comes to styling hair :) I can do curls to simple natural waves even with my medium length hair! Hahaha :)) Well since the shoot is for professional and corporate purposes, decided to just straighten my hair.

2. How would you define Fashion?

Fashion is more than just clothes. It's how you tell people about yourself without actually talking.

3. Who inspires you the most in terms of Fashion?

Lauren Conrad, it's just that I feel like we've grown together. From her Laguna Beach days up until now she has her own clothing line and all that. I admire her so much, she inspires me to do well in everything.

4. What makes your style different from the others?

I'm not monogamous when it comes to style, I try different things all at the same time, I can wear all black one day and then be pink and peachy the next, one great thing about style is there's no limitation, it's all just about creativity.

5. Your fashion must-haves:

Tank tops, denim cut-offs, good pair of heels, LBD

6. 5 things that you can't leave the house with:

Phone, perfume, sanitizer, blush and mirror

I would like people to remember me as someone who, in her own way, has expressed herself through her choice of clothes and sharing her readers that fashion doesn't always have to be expensive, it's how you mix and match things.

Spur Steak Ranches

Okay, I know that you guys maybe wondering that I've been blogging about food lately and asking if I'm turning out to be a food blogger. Well let's just say that I blog about anything and everything under the sun and it would be great for a blogger to be adventurous right? So here I am, blogging about a steak house that my parents and I tried and loved!!

So last night we were in Dubai Festival City and was actually expecting to have dinner at Outback Steakhouse, and if ever.. also going to be my first time! But then, since Mama forgot her discount card, I was wanting pizza so then I was in line already to order at Pizza Hut. But then, since my parent caught their eyes on this restaurant and was very much curious, we tried so! :)

Well, they were kind of pricey and similar to that of T.G.I. Fridays. Well you know how diners and steakhouses actually look like in the U.S. right? So yeah, it was of the same. But of course, it is the food that everyone looks forward to!

But before the food, let me just brag about how I was impressed because they gave up wipes before the meal. You know how some restaurants don't have places to wash your hands first before meals right, then have to eat with them after shopping and touching different things, right? This was definitely +points for me!

About our food!! My parents had their trio combo, a combination of Chicken, Beef and Ribs Steak which was absolutely delish. We were shocked to even see how big the serving was that was actually good for the 3 of us already. But then, I love steak don't get me wrong, but I prefer to order chunky patty burgers coz they're my all time favourite food to eat!! :D And I know that my parents would order the steak and share it with me! Haha.

After the meal, since we didn't have starters, we had dessert!! :) I had a Chocolate Sundae!! Ofcourse, this is way different from what I dearly love from Mcdonald's!! LOL. This had whip cream, almonds and a wafer then the ice cream and chocolate syrup which was oh so yummy!! :)))

After eating, all the shops were closed so we went home already!! But we plan on coming back tomorrow to have breakfast and check out possible house decorations in IKEA tomorrow. Hopefully I have THE pizza or Outback Steakhouse that I've been craving!! Now what to wear tomorrow???? ^_^

Sucker for make up that I am!

So I have been on the look out for Make Up brush sets for two weekends now and I haven't found shops that actually sell them in sets. I would find individual brushes that costs too much that I can't really ask my mom to buy because seriously, I need a job!

So yeah, I found the perfect 10pc brush set at Mikyajy last night, at Mirdiff City Center. And since it was Ramadan anytime soon, a lot of promos are running now!!

Well, I originally planned on buying just the brush set but the promo just got to us. Well the 10pc brust set but a total change in plans when the sales lady introduced to us their best offer that included the brush set.

So this palette originally costs AED179, at the end of this post.. I shall tell how it was a great deal buying both!

Well, we couldn't ignore the promo fully because it was a great bargain. And honestly, I have been a big fan of Mikyajy that ever since I got to know the shop, I've been buying my palettes from them! Who wouldn't love these colors right? And I just love how beautiful the colors are that they put together!!!

So this is the 10pc brush set that I was talking about. This costed AED 199 originally and it was of course way cheaper than those of The Body Shop and MAC individual brushes when bought together! And Mikyajy brushes also use natural hair (i guess) coz they're really soft and comfy for the face unlike synthetic brushes that feels all itchy when it sticks the face.

So I'm sure you're wondering how I got these off a great deal. Well, if you would total the two, it would cost around AED 378. It was a bargain since we bought it for only AED299 together!!!! That gave us a discount of AED79!! So cheap right? So yeah, they have a lot more offers for the Ramadan and they give free make over!! They also have a YouTube channel that provides us buyers tutorials!! :) And if you follow me on twitter, this is what made me giddy last night!
