Finally!

So I just talked to my mom over the phone. I had to text her to call me, because they’re moving houses and no phone/internet yet. So I had no other choice but that.

Anyways, I had the courage to tell my mom that my allowance isn’t regular flowing. In terms that I’m always broke by the end of the month and end up borrowing money from my lola or tita. So, she didn’t take it the bad way. Instead she just said,

*“Okay, just wait for Papa’s salary. We’ll send you money asap. And just have your flight booked na. Alright?”

And then I was relieved. When she asked me the reason, I just said, “May sakit ata ako e.”

Mama laughed and she was like, “Ano naman sakit mo?”

I answered, “Eh kasi, when I see something I like, I buy it agad!"

She just laughed and then she said that *.

I’m so happy! I love my Mama! :))

This afternoon, we went to PSBank to ask about our slot, and they told us, "Every department who has in need of trainees have already been filled up. Even if your Memorandum of Agreement gets signed by your Dean, you will still be on the waiting list of applicants."

In short, no more job for us :( We've tried applying in other companies, it's either they don't accept OJT; or the position vacant is not related to our course; or no vacancies, we will have to wait for January for vacancies.

It is all Letran's fault!

1. First, they release our Recommendation forms late, really really late.
2. Then they tell us that they have a list of companies ready to apply to, then when we ask, all they said, "It has to be in the Top 500 Companies."
3. Then they also told us that we should finish our requirement first on our English Proficiency Program, before we look for companies to apply to.

All that we need from them is their signature, and they can't give it to us. If they can't sign it asap and they knew it would take so long because they need to study the MOA first, they didn't tell us so at least we should've initiated on looking for another company. But nooooo, they made is wait and wait, and they never had any explanation on what was exactly happening to the MOA.

Quality Education? Think again. You pay them thousands and thousands of money, and they make you suffer? WOW.

Christmas, the perfect season to tell stories.

Christmas is the season that everyone is so excited about, especially my family, and the spirit of Christmas makes all of us feel overwhelmed to have to celebrate it once again, this year, together as one happy family. It is as we know it is also the time to share. Share the perfect moment, with the most perfect people in our lives. During Christmas, we share love, blessings and happiness to one another, that's why Christmas is the perfect season to tell stories.

But if you do need to hear it from me, this is what I think of Christmas.

It is the food that I look forward to (not denying the fact that gifts are very much overwhelming), it is my mom's cooking thatmakes me so excited about Christmas! :) Especially my most favourite pinoy food recipes like, Kare-Kare, Tokwa't Baboy and Lumpiang Shanghai and deserts like Leche Flan and Fruit Cake.

(And just so you know, my family stays in Dubai and having pinoy food recipes for Christmas makes us feel at home)

As I've mentioned it, another thing about Christmas being special is having to spend it with my family, that's what's important for me. Since I've been staying here in Manila for college, it's always something to look forward to going back to Dubai to be with my family again. This year, I will be spending Christmas there, and this is what will make December 25, 2010 extra special.

OJT Concerns

Only last Thursday (November 11, 2010) have I started to apply in different companies for my OJT.

Thursday

Morning, I have passed resumes, together with my blockmates at Cebu Pacific Air and Philippine National Bank.

• Cebu Pacific Air

They have already closed their hiring for OJT as of this month, next would be on December. And still not definite.

• PNB

Filled out this very long application form and waiver, I think. Will have to pass yet my Recommendation and Endorsement Letters . Scheduled Orientation is November 22, 2010. The date that is supposedly the first day of OJT.

Friday

Morning, my classmates went with me to PSBank. I filled out an application form, had myself interviewed and they instructed me to come back to their office Monday morning to pass my Recommendation and Endorsement Letters. He (Sir Kyle) told me to bring OJT Requirements, but I have no idea what they were. I just know the letters, but I think that is it.

If I were to choose, and I do have options, of course, I'd choose PSBank. With NO doubts, hopefully, PSBank it is.

The Limited Edition Starbucks Coffee 2011 Planner

The time has come. It is once again, the season of purchasing Starbucks' Holiday featured beverages or just any beverage of your choice, in order to collect 17 stickers for 17 beverages purchased.

Who would anyone have no idea why this is something to look forward to?

Everyone is a coffee lover, or might I say, Starbucks Coffee lover. And this is their yearly want and need from Starbucks. The Limited Edition Starbucks Coffee 2011 Planner.

Unfortunately, I have just started so I got only one sticker. 16 more stickers to go. Pfft.

Will be able to purchase more drinks If ever I get in PSBank for my OJT.

Quite relieved and happy.

Later this evening, I kinda had an open forum with a friend. And take note, a "boy" friend.

Of course, boys usually does not like listening to girls whining about their issues with other people and other girly stuffs. But this friend of mine was very much willing to listen, open his own thoughts about the matters and even gave me such good advices although I am having second thoughts of listening and following them (because I think I also have issues when it comes to my pride). Ohwell.

Our talk started with one person I never got along with from the beginning. We never started off as friends, we never talked, but something between us just went wrong. It got to a point that the whole of the senior class got to know about it, and we somehow made front page of a magazine full of rumors, yet true. Well, it started because I have friends (who knew exactly what happened between her and I) that eventually became her friends too. And we came up with this party, that most surely, the person is invited and I have to deal with.

It's not that there is still something going on between us, I just find it so awkward with the person just being there and it would somehow also be difficult to the rest of the group to handle two-somewhat-different-persons.

Then it came to a point that I opened up my issues with different people. That sometimes, I feel so left out. That I feel that I'm unwanted at some point because I just thought that I just could not fit in. I feel like sometimes I simply don't belong yet I am because of some very simple reasons that somehow makes me part of it.

I just don't want to elaborate on this matter. I don't want things to go wrong with anyone. I want and need a peaceful life in my last year, last semester in College. I just need to do so. So I'm ending this with a simple thanks to a friend.

This simply made my day!

One of my Christmas wishes for this year was to have a new Blackberry Phone, and Papa and Mama granted it sooo early. It is just the box, but my parents confirmed that it is a Blackberry Bold 9700 :)

So how did I come to know about this great news?

Well, earlier this evening, Papa called me. And he was like, "Are you on Facebook?" Of course I was, I was just playing Car Town and Retail Therapy. Then he was like, "Okay, take a look at the pictures muna. Will call you when Mama wakes up." Then I said, "Okay."

So as soon as we both put the phone down, I ran into my room where the laptop and internet was and took a look at the Wall Feed. I saw newly uploaded pictures from Papa's account, and there it was, the Blackberry Box :)

I knew for a fact that it was mine because I was the only one dying to have that. Josel wanted the iPhone 4G.

Papa called again and then I was so excited and kept Thanking them and bugging them to make padala asap! :) Lol. But Mama said she has an officemate that will come here in Manila on December. So most probably, the phone will be mine by next month! Yay! :)

After such a boring Friday, Thank God this was something to be happy about.

What happened to Fun Friday?

Ahuh, the supposedly Fun Friday turned out to be Boring Friday.

How it was supposed to be "Fun Friday":

1. Leave the house early to meet up with boyfriend.
2. Go to Makati to pass Resumes to possible Companies where I can have my OJT
3. After doing so, go to Glorietta - a date with boyfriend
4. Eat in my favourite - McDonalds (Hot Fudge Sundae, Large Fries, McChicken Sandwich)
5. And just hang out here sa house

And how it turned out to be "Boring Friday":

1. I just couldn't sleep last night
2. I slept so late
3. When I was sleeping, my mind was awake and active while my body isn't
4. I woke up again 7 and couldn't sleep anymore
5. Feels like I can't make it even if I did go out (Will be sleepy and tired)
6. Stuck here in my room

That's pretty much it. Gawd. And I thought I was going to accomplish things today.

Next week again, to apply for OJT.

NSTP Class tomorrow morning. Where should I go after? ;)

Let me just blog what happened. (Although I am 3 days late)

This was one unforgettable day for our family. Well, basically because a lot of things happened for just one day.

My cousins and I woke up at 6am, asking each other if we still have our cellphones. When we had ours to show, it was only to find out that we were robbed. Actually, only one room got robbed, my cousins. It was around past 4 in the morning that our dog was barking constantly. My cousin woke up to get the dog to be quiet and never had it occurred that someone was already trying to break in. Since it was November 1, my cousin just thought that maybe our dog saw a ghost or something, that’s why he didn’t bother. The robber got 3 cellphones, 1 of which my tito’s, 2 from 2 of my cousins.

He got in from the jalosy window of my cousins room, it was small and so only the skinniest can get in. And the room was at the back part of the house, and so, the robber knows our house well. We suspect that it was someone we know. Someone we know who could’ve got in the house premises at the back part and we have several dogs that only kept quiet so the dogs must’ve known who he is. And the dog who was barking nonstop was the most noisiest, that even he would bark at the family members. We suspect that it was someone also who lives close to our house, so maybe at the back of us, because he knows that we usually sleeps at 4 in the morning. Well, my cousins and I when we decide to have a Movie Marathon. We’ve got a suspect and even the other family members thinks so. But of course, we don’t really blame him entirely because we have no proof.

Since we woke up really early and the talking was so much, we weren’t able to go back to sleep. We then got ready, took a bath so early and it was freaking cold. We then sang Karaoke muna, had lunch, then left the house to go to the cemetery.

First we went to Novaliches Bayan, bought DVDs (The Social Network, Paranormal Activity 2 and Petrang Kabayo) and Php50 Ray Ban Shades, LOL. Yes, we patronize ukay-ukay and imitations, depends though. Haha :))

Then we went to the cemetery. When we came, we just ate lunch again. Then hung out, and after 30minutes, we left to go to visit our other lolos and lolas. When we went to our Mama Inciang’s place, one of our closest 2nd cousin was there, and there we waited for 2 more. We actually plan of going to the newly opened SM Novaliches (different of that from SM Fairview). Since it was raining so hard, we waited for it to finally stop before we leave. When it did, left asap before it starts falling again.

In SM Novaliches, we just walked and walked and walked. We were comparing SM Novaliches to SM Fairview. SM Novaliches is small yet classy, similar to malls in Dubai with the high ceilings and wide alleys. Whereas SM Fairview, looks really old (well, because it is) but ofcourse, it is big, with ANNEX II. We also ate at McDo, had Hot Fudge Sundae, Green Fiz Float and McFlurry. Well, one for each. Went home at 7pm.

When we arrived home, we just ate dinner. We were 6, 3 of which lives somewhere nearby yet they slept over because it will be last night that we will be together, last night of sembreak. The next time that we will all be together is Christmas pa, since we’re all busy with school and work. So we all watched the DVDs we bought earlier, and we must say, The Social Network was boring at the time because we were tired and it all made us sleepy because of the much talking. Next was Paranormal Activity 2, one word to describe it, “NAKAKABITIN”. Well,nabitin kami. After watching Paranormal Activity 2, we all couldn’t take it and just went to bed.

Had lunch again together and watched Petrang Kabayo. Last bonding before the 2nd semester starts.

Sembreak 2010

The whole two weeks of nothing to worry about in school, I was in Novaliches.

Novaliches is the place of:

1. No Internet
2. No Internet
3. No Internet

So what we did, my cousins and I:

1. Movie Marathon until 4am
2. Eat, eat and eat!
3. Watched cheap movies in Cinema
4. Go to SM to buy Hot Fudge Sundae at McDonalds
5. As for only I, I was reading Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

I can say that my sembreak was very relaxing. I slept for 10hours everyday, and ate like 3 meals+2 extra=5meals a day! :)
